What
is Dowsing?
Dowsing
is the skill of using our intuition to understand natural forces
like water veins and energy fields through the use of rods
or pendulums. You may be familiar with the ancient art of finding
underground
water by using a divining rod (pictured), but now dowsing is
a reemerging skill used in many areas of our lives. It is employed
by some to assist in the daily decision making process around
health,
spiritual, and financial matters. Many alternative practitioners
like chiropractors and acupuncturists use a form of dowsing
in their
healing practices.
Dowsing can be used by anyone, and with lots of practice,
it can be a very useful skill in navigating each and every
day. It requires an open mind and a willingness to believe
in your intuition. There are many ways dowsing is used today:
finding water, making financial decisions, designing
a building, determining the best location to build, selecting
supplements, assessing energy, determining the source of health
or emotional concerns, business advice, and more. It's actually
quite fun to see a dowser in action and to try dowsing yourself.
