What is Geopathic Stress?
That stress is an underlying factor in many illnesses is a commonly accepted belief in the medical field. Jane Thurnell-Read, in her book, Geopathic Stress, points to many studies and examples as to how geopathic stress is one of the stresses that may be impacting our health. As she mentions in her book, most people have walked into a building and realized it just didn’t feel right. Their intuition was reading the energy of the building and letting the body know that the building wasn’t healthy.

There are three types of geopathic stress that New England Dowsing seeks to measure through dowsing: energy lays, water veins, and vortexes. Energy lays have been described differently by several different scientists, but the easiest way to describe them is to envision a flowing river of energy, which carries either positive or negative energy. It is the negative or detrimental energy lays that may be impacting your health. Water veins are streams or rivers of water underneath your space. How fast the water vein flows and what type of energy it is carrying are factors that may be impacting your health. Vortexes are negative energy spirals that can zap the space and its occupants of energy, creativity, etc. All of these negative energy factors are found through dowsing and then mitigated through earth acupuncture and pinning or other energy related healing actions. By the way, a positive energy source, called a power center, is often found at the intersection of positive energy and/or water lays. Power Centers are a great source of energy, peace, and creativity.
